Fives Group is looking for a Panel Builder/Wirer in the Columbus, OH area. This is a first shift role that has the option to work four 10 hour shifts.

What You Will Be Doing:

• The Panel Builder will be assembling and testing electrical control panels. This role will involve working with hardware and software components and sometimes other departments in the organization.

Job Description:

• Reading blueprints to layout electrical and pneumatic panels
• Debug and troubleshoot equipment
• Mounting components which may include PLCs, safety devices, and power suppliers within the enclosure
• Assemble and wire up panels according to electrical schematics. This must be done within compliance of electrical codes and standards (NEC)
• Testing of hard wires and make sure that any issues are resolved
• Ensure correct parts are being used for assigned projects
• Maintain proper documentation that is accurate and up to date
• The Panel Assembler may also assist in other areas of the shop as needed

Qualifications:

• 3 years of panel building experience in a manufacturing environment
• Ability to operate fork lift/truck, crane, and other shop equipment
• Prior fabrication/assembly experience is a plus
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and electrical schematics
• Ability to lift, push, and carry up to 50 pounds
• Must have basic computer skills and be able to input data into various computer programs
• Ability to operate other machinery including saws, power tools, drill presses, sanders, and others

Education:

• Associate’s Degree or technical certificate in a related field is helpful but not required
• A high school diploma or GED (or commitment to get GED) is required
