Summary/Objective Five Stones Research Corporation (5SRC) is seeking energetic candidates to join our established and growing Huntsville-headquartered family.

Essential Functions

• Repairs machinery and mechanical equipment.
• Examines machines and mechanical equipment to diagnose sources of trouble, dismantles or partly dismantles machines, and makes repairs mainly using hand tools.
• Replaces broken or defective parts with items obtained from stock, orders the production of a replacement part by a machine shop, or sends malfunctioning equipment to machine shops for major repairs.
• Prepares written specifications for production of replacement parts by machine shops, or for equipment repair by machine shops or vendors.
• Reassemble equipment post-repair and restore to full operational condition.

Required Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Successful graduation from a formalized apprenticeship program in machining/fabrication or a 2-year Trade School Program and have three (3) years of experience in machine/fabrication shop operations to include mill and lathe operations.
