Household Assistant Requirements: 

•CPR/First Aid Certification from an In-Person Course

•Meets all State and Federal requirements for US employment in a healthcare setting

•Ability to Communicate Effectively

•Reliable Transportation to worksite location

Household Assistants are expected to carry out the following tasks:

•Prepares and serves meals to residents based on dietary needs, and properly maintains all food storage, prep, and service areas. Restocking food items as needed. 

•Cleans the household rooms and common areas using routine cleaning standards as well as those performed on a project basis. Maintains housekeeping equipment under the instruction of the Household Coordinator.

•Assists in conducting programs, visits, and activities geared to the interest and abilities of the residents.

•Complies with established policies and procedures, and maintains established standards and practices including safety, infection control and sanitation regulations for housekeeping, dietary, laundry and activities.

•Attends all in-service and training sessions relevant to the position.
