Fitness Connection is now hiring for a Club Manager position. The Club Manager provides daily, weekly, and monthly direction for Assistant Club Managers, Fitness Professionals and other hourly teammates. The CM must lead by example in creating and maintaining a strong Fitness Connection culture in his/her club and be a team player who believes in the power of changing lives through fitness.

PEOPLE

Leads a high-performing club team that maintains a focus on developing Fitness Professionals and changing lives through FitnessRecruits, hires and promotes assistant club managers, fitness professionals, and kids club teammates
Develops and trains assistant club managers, fitness professionals, and kids club teammates
Identifies high-potential talent
Consistently recognizes and rewards great performance Provides coaching and feedback to build competency
Maintains strong and consistent people practices with all teammates, taking appropriate action as needed

FINANCIAL RESULTS

Create and execute proactive plans while coaching The Play every day and adjusting based on results in real-timeEnsures revenue and expense goals are met
Manages club operating budgets

Creates and executes forward-looking club plansCreates club schedules to ensure accurate coverage and efficient use labor hours
Analyzes business trends and data to assess and improve club performance, both operationally and financially 

BUSINESS DRIVER

Partner with their District Manager and Club Leadership Team to ensure smooth and timelycommunication and execution of initiatives, systems & programs.

Ensures consistent effective communication
Cascades new information & training though both event-based and ongoing methods
Provides follow up and feedback around initiatives, systems and programs to assistant club managers and hourly teammates
Partners with District Manager to diagnose, plan, and overcome ongoing challenges
Reaches out to cross-functional partners as appropriate throughout the organization 

CLUB OPERATIONS
Ensure a well-run, standard-driven club through daily, weekly, and monthly focus, communication and follow-up on Fitness, Sales & Operations 

Leads execution of day-to-day club operationsHolds team accountable to Fitness Connection systems and standards
Monitors adherence to member programs
Provides feedback and support around club appearance & maintenance
Ensures consistent retail program execution
Offers consultation and recommendations to club managers on overcoming operations challenges 

Our Club Managers oversee a single club location and directly supervise assistant club managers and through them a team of Fitness Professionals. Club Managers work hours range from 6 am to 8 pm and can include weekend, evening and early morning hours as the business requires. Some travel may be required for both regional and national meetings, and/or to provide assistance at another location. 

Requirements:

High School Diploma or GED required, College Degree preferred

For external hire, a minimum of 12 months of club management with a proven record of success is required, preferably in the fitness industry. 

For internal promotion, a minimum of six months as an Assistant Club Manager with Fitness Connection; must be in good.company standing and have a proven record of performance
Knowledge of the Fitness industry as well as the necessary business acumen to run a complete business unit with Talent, Facilities, etc
