Description

Summary(What/Why/Coverage)-Main Activities: 

 Support Plant Management and Production Leadership in handling the daily management on the floor.

  • Professional oral, written, and communicative skills.
  • Ability to provide attention to detail and resolve inconsistencies.

Technical Competencies:

  • 2 years of manufacturing experience.
  • Ability to analyze trends and provide predictive analysis
  • Willingness to implement principles such as: Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, KANBAN, 5S, etc.
  • Expert MS Office Suite user (specifically Excel & PowerPoint)
  • Knowledge of PDCA and daily production management. 

Key Responsibilities (What/How):

  • Required to identify gaps to not allow production staff to follow and complete the defined routine, check lists, procedures etc..
  • Partner with other teams and managers to determine expected production runs within the manufacturing or data information process
  • Mes Raw material track
  • Scrap flow management
  • Reclaim track and identify gaps to improve the utilization
  • Work very close with production line specialists and shift managers to identify unexpected slowdowns and proactively identify new bottlenecks.
  • Make sure the production teams are achieving the expected catch weight adherence issuing reports to track it and addressing with actions; training when need
  • Review documents, such as production schedules, work orders, or staffing tables, to determine personnel or materials requirements or material priorities.
  • Distribute production schedules or work orders to departments.
  • Revise production schedules when required due to labor shortages, backlogs, or other interruptions, collaborating with management, marketing, sales, production, or engineering.
  • Prepare and run monthly employee reports, including managing the employee attendance tracker.
  • Record production data, including volume produced, consumption of raw materials, or quality control measures.
  • Assist with personnel scheduling for required Overtime, Vacation coverage, and other staffing related situations.
  • This position at times will be required to work non-typical hours at the discretion of the Plant Manager for auditing purposes.
  •  Performs other related duties, as assigned 

Requirements

Educational Background:

High School Diploma or equivalent

AS or BA preferred 

Work Background:

( x )less than 3 years

Physical Demands: 

This position requires frequently lifting and/or moving up to 25 pounds and occasionally lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds. The position requires walking and standing for long periods of time and performs strenuous physical labor in a non-climate-controlled environment. This position requires mounting, dismounting, and sitting on a seated forklift. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
