Job Description:

The The Capital Planning and Maintenance Department is seeking students for full time summer employment. This position is funded by the university. All undergraduate students looking for summer employment are welcome to make application for this position. Please see below the specific duties and responsibilities for this role.
Student Capital Planning & Maintenance Summer Staff will work with the Housing & Residential Life Maintenance Manager as well as the Work Order Systems and Office Manager. The following duties will be completed

1. General painting of residential buildings
2. Inspections of buildings when necessary
3. Inspections of life safety certificates when necessary.
4. Other responsibilities as provided by the Capital Planning & Maintenance Office Staff

Requirements:

1. Current undergraduate student of Fitchburg State University - If you are graduating in May 2024, you are not eligible for this position.
2. Must show up on time and ready to work on time for your shift
3. Ability to work with in a team environment and individually
4. Ability to lift 50lbs
5. Ability to perform above duties with or without reasonable accommodation

Additional Information:

Shift Information: We are looking for several students for full time summer employment. There are two shifts available; Monday - Friday from 6am-2pm or 7am-3pm at $15 per hour. Start date is approximately May 20, 2024. You must be a full time undergraduate student in order to be eligible. If you are graduating in May 2024, you are not eligible for this position.
