21st Century Out-of-School Time Certified Enrichment Certified Teacher/Instructor

All program hours must be during out-of-school time. All duties must be performed during non-contractual hours.

Several positions pending student participation levels.

Program Duration: September 2023 – May 2024 (divided into three sessions) 

Sites: Longsjo, Memorial, Crocker, McKay, Reingold & South Street

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Massachusetts Teaching Certificate or knowledge of activity or subject area to be performed.
• Previous experience in implementing after-school activities for children.
• Certified in CPR and First Aide preferred.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Please use the cover letter in school spring to narrate what sort of enrichment activities you could implement in an online environment. These activities need to be creative and engaging, with an educational component.

• Be prepared to provide specific details with goals and objectives for the 10-week proposed activity.
• Prepare and implement a standards-based, project-based activity with a strong academic component or Social/Emotional skill for a minimum of 1 hour per day per session.
• Take and maintain daily student attendance.
• Provide differentiated instruction to children with special needs and English language learners.
• Ensure instructional materials are available for students.
• Deliver activities/instructions within the specified time frame.
• Participate in-service 21st Century professional development (Elementary, Sept, 12th, Middle School, Sept. 13th, All grade levels Oct. 19th, Dec. 14ty, Feb. 8th and April 4th)
• Administer and complete pre/post tests and other surveys and assessments as required by the district and 21st Century Grant.
• Maintain and submit student attendance records weekly to the site coordinator.
• Other duties assigned.

SALARY: $35/hr for certified teachers, $25 for non-certified instructor
