Position Summary: As a Gym Babysitter, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and well-being of the children of our gym members while their parents participate in fitness activities. You will be responsible for creating an enjoyable and secure environment for children, allowing their parents to work out with peace of mind.

Responsibilities:

• Child Supervision: Monitor and supervise children (ages 6 months - 12 years old) in the designated childcare area during gym hours.
• Safety and Well-being: Ensure the safety and well-being of all children by maintaining a secure, clean, and child-friendly environment.
• Engagement: Create a fun and stimulating atmosphere for children through age-appropriate activities, games, and crafts.
• Check-in and Check-out: Greet parents and children, assist with the check-in process, and provide a warm and friendly presence during check-out.
• Communication: Maintain open and clear communication with parents regarding their child's well-being and any special requests or concerns.
• Emergency Response: Be prepared to respond to emergencies and follow the gym's safety and emergency protocols.
• Hygiene and Health: Encourage and assist children with proper hygiene routines and ensure they have access to necessary facilities.
• Equipment and Supplies: Maintain and organize toys, games, and supplies, reporting any maintenance needs to the appropriate staff.
• Conflict Resolution: Effectively manage any disputes or conflicts that may arise among children, promoting a positive and inclusive atmosphere.

Qualifications:

• CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
• Experience in childcare, babysitting, or related field.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patience, reliability, and a caring attitude towards children.
• Ability to adapt to different age groups and engage children in age-appropriate activities.
• Ability to maintain a clean and organized childcare area.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 12 – 16 per week

• Monday to Friday
