We're seeking an Assistant Teacher to join our team as an assistant teacher or school-wide support staff aka floater. The FT position is from 8:30 - 5:30 Monday - Friday but 8:00 am - 2:00 pm or 12:00 pm - 6:00 pm could also be an option for those who prefer PT and have on-call availability for the remainder of the am or pm school day.

Responsibilities include:

• Supervise and guide children during lunch, nap or on an excursion to the park (all weather) and assist in the implementation of daily program activities together with lead and assistant teachers
• Display a loving and caring demeanor to implement positive discipline methods that align with the school’s high standards of caregiving
• Work with fellow staff members to plan, prepare and implement PM care activities with guidance from lead teachers and under the supervision of the Director
• Substitute in any of our five classrooms with toddlers (18 m - 3 y) or Primary (3-6 y)

Requirements:

• Commitment to at least one full school year
• The ability to lift 50lbs
• Complete a staff file according to PA regulations (we can help you obtain this)
• Meet requirements for Assistant Group Supervisor according to PA chapter 3270

Compensation:
