Job TitleDirector, Database Administration
What does a successful Director, Database Administration do at Fiserv?You will ensure that specific product requirements of Fiserv’s business technology partners are being met and exceeded in terms of offerings, stability, security, and capabilities. Your guidance will ensure our Oracle DBAs provide industry leading technology solutions for our clients. You will lead a team of DBAs and be hands-on while providing engineering solutions.
What You Will Do
- Review, re-architect and implement database solutions for mission critical applications
- Provide accurate metric-driven service improvements as they pertain to stability and predictability objectives
- Troubleshoot complex database issues
- Ensure Fiserv's Oracle offering to the business partners consistently interlocks and meets or exceeds expectations
- Manage the Oracle estate and the underpinning infrastructure
- Develop, implement, and manage new business capabilities for Oracle
- Lead a global team of highly skilled Oracle DBAs with service management disciplines (Incident, Problem, Change and Continuous Service Improvement), as they pertain to the Oracle database service offering
- 20 years of experience with various Oracle database products
- 7 years of experience as a product lead in a product-based organization
- 5 years of experience leading senior DBAs and managing a global team
- 5 years of experience with database performance tuning optimization
- A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, or an equivalent combination of education, work, and/or military experience
