Fischer Homes is Hiring a VP OF LAND ACQUISITION AND ENTITLEMENTS – RALEIGH Near Raleigh, NC

Job Summary

As a VP of Land Acquisition and Entitlement for Raleigh, you will activate your inner self-starter and provide expertise in maximizing profitability as Fischer Homes seeks out strategic locations to grow and develop. The most rewarding aspect of this role is leading through a prominent presence in the residential land market as you maintain contacts with developers, land owners and others in the residential property market.

These skills will be used to: 

  • Analyze the market areas in which Fischer Homes desires to build, become familiar with what tracts of land are not developed, and identify properties with good development potential.
  • Enable adequate supplies of desired properties to be secured at competitive prices in strategic locations.
  • Manages the zoning approval process with the local jurisdiction to obtain an approved rezoning in alignment with the Market President’s target product offering and Strategic Plan.
  • Works with GCL on all entitlement issues related to the proposed development, such as geotechnical, environmental, utility availability/capacity, off-site improvements, and any other items affecting the development's feasibility.
  • Negotiates purchase price and terms with developers and landowners, in conjunction with Market Presidents and GCL, guides the preparation of purchase agreements, and gets them fully executed according to company policy and guidelines.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field.
  • Ten (10) years of relevant experience in land acquisition, zoning, and land entitlement..
