Fischer Homes is Hiring a SENIOR PROJECT PLANNER Near Erlanger, KY

Job Summary

As a Senior Project Planner for Fischer Homes, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth planning and approval of activities for all land projects in operating divisions.   • Collaborate cross functionally while maintaining control and accountability. 

These skills will be used to: 

  • Manage land planning, entitlements, and approvals for new and existing land assets, including site selection, conceptual/preliminary land planning and cost analysis, and management and oversight of governmental approvals.
  • Develops entitlement and approval strategies and represents the company in public and private meetings regarding annexation, rezoning, and preliminary development plan approvals
  • Represent the company in public and private meetings regarding annexation, rezoning, and preliminary development plan approvals.
  • Manage various consultants through the approval and entitlement process, and quantifies associated costs for underwriting new land acquisitions.
  • Prepares preliminary development budgets for new land acquisitions, by phase and for the entire community.
  • Coordinate all entitlement issues related to proposed developments such as geotechnical, environmental, utility capacities, off-site improvements and any other items affecting the feasibility of the development.
  • Maintain schedules for entitlement, approval, and acquisition that allow profitable development of intended product; clearly communicate changes to schedules and profitability when necessary.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with software including Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator), AutoCAD (or similar), GIS
  • Comfort with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • 5 years in Urban Planning or equivalent 
  • Teamwork or similar work-flow management software
