Job Description

About the role:
During implementation-conversion process, provide technical guidance and formulate systems scope and objectives relative to client organization business plan and industry requirements.About the team:

FIS Energy Trading, Risk and Logistics Platform is a flexible, cloud-native platform designed to help you calculate market-to-market positions in real time, capture physical and financial instruments for multiple commodities and analyze historical and interval market data from various sources.
Responsibilities:

  • Work with clients to understand their technical requirements and scope projects accordingly.
  • Develop technical solutions to meet client needs, including customizations, integrations, and configurations.
  • Ensure successful delivery of projects on time and within budget.
  • Provide technical expertise and support to clients throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Continuously learn about new technologies and stay up to date with industry trends.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation and project plans.
  • Participate in client-facing meetings and presentations.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and development teams to create solutions that can be standardized and reused.
  • Work closely with functional team members to understand the purpose and requirements of reports and interfaces.
  • Provide internal feedback for improvements in future project deliveries.

Must have skills:

  • Proficient in the following programming languages:
    • SQL (Oracle and Postgres preferred)
    • JavaScript
    • XSLT
  • Knowledge of the following data types:
    • JSON
    • XML
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Advanced problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot and diagnose technical issues with interfaces and system configuration.
  • Excellent ability to communicate instructions, requirements, and ideas effectively, verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to work independently and coordinate with other team members on simple and complex solutions.
  • Document and gather requirements for various interfaces and configuration of the application based on the client's business practices.
  • Design, document, configure, deploy, and maintain various reports and interfaces.
  • Skill in managing multiple projects, systems analysis, planning and organizing in a timely manner.
  • Must be able to prioritize, assign, review and evaluate work.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of the following programming languages:
    • Java
    • Groovy
  • Experience with cloud hosted environments. (Azure preferred)

FIS is committed to providing its employees with an exciting career opportunity and competitive compensation. The pay range for this full-time position is $91,800.00 - $154,220.00 and reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this position based on the posted role, level, and location. Within the range, actual individual starting pay is determined additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Any changes in work location will also impact actual individual starting pay. Please consult with your recruiter about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
