Job Description

About the team:

The Worldpay Enterprise Risk Team works collaboratively with the business and throughout the Company to mitigate risk while supporting responsible growth of the business. We’re a diverse team with significant positive impact both internally and for our clients.

 What you will be doing:

The primary responsibility of the Risk team is to support the strategic objectives of Worldpay using your risk management expertise to ensure business objectives are achieved in a responsible and sustainable manner. In your role, you will be responsible for establishing the Third-Party Risk Management program for the Company while also supporting key operational risk oversight programs. Your short-term objectives will include:

  • Partnering with internal stakeholders throughout the company inclusive of Procurement, Risk, Legal, Compliance, and business partners to define the third-party risk management framework inclusive of risk rating and review methodologies. 
  • Defining scalable and efficient business processes and workflows to efficiently assess and tailor assessment activities in alignment with risks posed by the third-party.
  • Defining the solution-oriented culture for the third-party risk management program ensuring a customer-centric approach while championing a risk-aware culture.
  • Configuration of supporting technologies to enable third-party review and reporting processes.
  • Establishing policy, process, procedural, and reporting documentation to ensure sustainability of the third-party risk management program as well as demonstration to external stakeholders inclusive of global regulatory authorities. 
  • Supporting operational risk initiatives as needed.

On a day-to-day basis, you will lead numerous initiatives and priorities while partnering with stakeholders across the company to ensure efficiency of third-party intake and review processes and mitigation of risk. Significant activities include:

  • Partnering with key stakeholders to address complex issues, considering and prioritizing risk-reward decisions
  • Communicating effectively and professionally with Executive and Senior stakeholders
  • Exercising sound judgment in assessing potential risks
  • Monitoring and escalating issues to the relevant stakeholders
  • Establishing operational reporting routines with key stakeholders throughout the company inclusive of Legal, Compliance, and business partners

What you bring:

  • Experience with sound third-party risk management practices including evaluation of risk and controls
  • Experience in establishing efficient and scalable third-party risk management programs
  • Familiarity and prior interaction with global regulatory agencies
  • Ability to effectively prioritize time to support business objectives
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with stakeholders of all levels
  • Effective communication skills and attention to detail
  • Unmatched work ethic and strong sense of ownership
  • Ability to creatively solve problems and achieve company objectives

 Added bonus if you have:

  • Knowledge of merchant acquiring services
  • Experience of Board level reporting
  • Knowledge of local Risk Management requirements
