About the role:
You will be troubleshooting and investigating production (which runs 24 x 7) system issues where stability, reputation management and security are critical to the business’ ongoing success. You will be involved in coordination and implementation of essential production maintenance tasks and proactively identify improvements and enhancements to working practices. You will interacts with engineering groups to assist in design changes to equipment and/or software.
What you will be doing:
You will be responsible for providing operational automation support for FIS Corporate Actions (XSP) products
You will play an active role in team initiatives and be accountable for the work committed to
You will work as part of a team to seek resolution of production tasks
You will identify areas of improvements and suggest more efficient ways of working
You will be working alongside the business stakeholders and helping to build a positive profile of the team that fully supports the Worldpay values
You will provide development solutions to introduce application enhancements
You will assist with maintenance tasks to ensure our platform remains secure and compliant
What you will need:
A flexible approach is necessary for the role as determined by production issues
Facilitate continuous improvement and innovation
A proactive approach to all areas of work
Enterprise Support level experience with the Windows operating systems
Relational databases including experience of SQL and database scripting
Experience with scripting languages such as shell, Perl, python, etc.
Run the production environment by monitoring availability and taking a holistic view of system health.
Measure and optimize system performance, with an eye toward pushing our capabilities forward, getting ahead of customer needs, and innovating to continually improve.
Provide primary operational support and engineering for multiple large, distributed software applications.
Gather and analyze metrics from operating systems and applications to assist in performance tuning and fault finding.
Experience in SDLC using an object originated language, preferably Java
Experience working on development tasks providing technical solutions to overcome problems
Track record in delivering work to schedule and specification
Added bonus if you have:

Experience with Windows On Prem application support
ITIL Service Management processes
Experience in Sprint (Agile) planning activities
Automation experience
Knowledge of the financial services industry
Understanding and awareness of PCI DSS compliance
