Position:Maintenance Technician I

Reports to:General Manager

Location: San Jose, CA

Schedule:Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm

JOB SUMMARY
Perform duties to ensure that all grounds and amenities are operational and properly maintained and all common areas are maintained in a clean condition, working within the limits of prescribed routines.

• Pressure wash/clean: Stairways, breezeways, sidewalks, and other common areas.
• Ensure shop and garage are locked and secured daily.
• Cleaning of buildings: mopping, sweeping, dusting, checking all lights are working and operating.
• Cleaning of all doggie stations in area.
• Able to do light drywall, painting, electrical, plumbing work, Irrigation repairs.
• Available to be ON-Call when needed.
• Available to handle after-work hour calls for emergencies.
• Help with meeting with vendors.
• Performs other duties as assigned by Property Manager/Maintenance Supervisor.
• Must have a valid CA Driver's License (This position will be driving a company vehicle)

ADDITIONAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Conduct business at all times with the highest standards of personal, professional and ethical conduct.
• Perform or assist with any operations as required to maintain workflow and to meet schedules. Notify supervision of unusual equipment or operating problems and the need for additional material and supplies.
• May participate in any variety of meetings and work groups to integrate activities, communicate issues, obtain approvals, resolve problems and maintain specified level of knowledge pertaining to new developments, requirements, policies, and regulatory guidelines.
• Ensure all safety precautions are followed while performing the work.
• Follow all policies and Standard Operating Procedures as instructed by Management.
• Perform any range of special projects, tasks and other related duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Two (2) years general experience in building trades, repair, and maintenance work; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Ability to properly utilize new equipment and follow safety procedures prior its use
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Good customer service and interpersonal skills
• Ability to respond to emergencies on a timely manner
• Ability to drive to different locations as needed
