Job Overview:

FirstService Residential is currently seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Assistant Leasing Manager. This position offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment within the property management industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the Property Manager in all aspects of the leasing process, including marketing available units, scheduling and conducting property tours, and processing rental applications.
• Assist in maintaining accurate and up-to-date leasing records, including tenant information, lease agreements, and move-in/move-out documentation.
• Respond promptly to inquiries from prospective tenants, providing information about available units, rental rates, lease terms, and property amenities.
• Collaborate with the leasing team to develop and implement effective marketing strategies to attract prospective tenants and maximize occupancy levels.
• Conduct thorough tenant screenings, including credit checks, background checks, and rental history verification, in accordance with company policies and fair housing regulations.
• Assist with lease negotiations and ensure that all lease agreements comply with company policies and legal requirements.
• Coordinate move-in and move-out processes, including conducting unit inspections, collecting security deposits, and facilitating lease signings.
• Address tenant concerns and inquiries in a professional and timely manner, striving to maintain positive tenant relations and satisfaction.
• Assist with the preparation of leasing reports, financial statements, and budget projections as needed.
• Stay informed about local rental market trends, competitor properties, and industry best practices to remain competitive in the marketplace.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, real estate, or a related field preferred.
• Previous experience in property management, leasing, or real estate administration is highly desirable.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with tenants, colleagues, and vendors.
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and property management software platforms.
• Knowledge of fair housing laws and regulations preferred.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift 30 – 50 lbs.
• Work in an upright standing position for long periods of time.
• Walk and climb stairs; Handle, finger, grasp and feel objects and equipment.
• Reach with hands and arms.
• Communicate, receive, and exchange ideas and information by means of the spoken and written word.
• Ability to navigate the property/building quickly and easily as required to meet the job functions.
• Ability to respond to emergencies in a timely manner.

Schedule: Monday - Friday; Weekend Rotations; 8:00 AM - 5:00PM

Pay Rate: $25.00 - $26.00 Hourly
