FirstPRO 360 is Hiring a Finance Manager- Merchandise Finance required Near Atlanta, GA
Our client is a major retailer and they wish to hire a Finance Manager, for Merchandise Finance with responsibility for overseeing vendor receivable Co-op/ Rebate programs to ensure proper and timely billing and collections are maintained. In addition, interact with advertising, marketing, merchandising, accounting, sales representatives, and vendors to streamline this process.Essential daily duties will include-
- Oversee and maintain collection of program & promotional.
- Management of Documentation and Approvals of Vendor Program Funds in data base System.
- Management of Debit Memo System and Claim Approvals to Accounts Payable for Deduction from Vendors and Accounts Receivable for payment applications.
- Preparation of schedules/ reporting for Month End Closing Estimations, Accruals & Journal Entries for the Co-op/ Merchandising Finance Area.
- Preparation of Monthly, Quarterly & Annual Audit Schedule, Confirmation Letters to Vendors and Audit requests.
- Communication with upper management, accounting, marketing, merchandising personnel and vendors regarding co-op programs, promotions, procedures and GL account coding of claims.
- Maintain Co-op/ Rebate tracking reports for claiming & collection of funds for Major Vendors, that have complex programs involving multiple account applications or submissions.
- Retrieve, process and distribute reporting to Team to aide in the vendor receivable collection & claiming process.
- Bachelors’ Degree in Accounting or Finance or relevant discipline
- 5 years Accounting and Finance experience
- Retail Accounting and Merchandising required
- Supervisory experience
- Strong Excel skills
