Join Funeral Home in New Braunfels is seeking Roller Operators to operate heavy equipment and handle event setups in our community.

Responsibilities:

• Operate roller to compact earth, subgrade, and sub-base asphalt surfaces.
• Drive machine in successive overlapping passes over surfaces to be compacted, rolling subgrade to desired compaction and smoothness.
• Determine speed and direction of machine based on knowledge of compressibility of material.
• Coordinate machine actions with other activities, positioning and moving the machine in response to hand or audio signals from crew members.
• Assist in setting up and taking down signs, chairs, tables, and tents for the event.
• Daily maintenance of the area grounds and minor landscaping.
• Keep machines clean and maintained.
• Monitor operations to ensure that health and safety standards are met.

Requirements:

• 1 – 2 years of minimum experience using construction heavy equipment
• Must pass a drug screen and criminal background check
• Must be able to start ASAP
• Punctuality and dependability are required
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Heavy equipment experience, skid steer, front-end loader, backhoe, etc.
• Hard hat required for heavy equipment
• Must be able to lift heavy objects all day
• Must be okay with working full time and possible overtime Must have the initiative, ability, and willingness to perform and assist with other job positions for job completion as requested

Job Schedule:

• 7AM – 5:30PM
• Mon-Fri
• Some Saturdays for events

Job Pay:

• $17-$18 /Hourly
