FirstLight Home Care of Westchester is looking for mature caregivers to provide companionship to the seniors of Westchester county, and lower Putnam county. No certifications are required for the companion caregiver position, just compassion! If you have experience in caring for a family member, this can be the perfect choice for you! The companion position is a part time or per diem work schedule.
Caregivers are NOT providing medical care to their patients, but assisting with the following tasks instead:
-Light Housekeeping
-Laundry
-Light Meal Preparation
-Doctor’s visits, Errands, and Attending Activities in the community.
-Providing companionship
Requirements include:
-Fluent in English
-At least 21 years of age
-Valid driver’s license
-Reliable vehicle to transport yourself to and from work, as well as the patient while on the shift.
-Car insurance
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $18.55 - $19.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15 – 40 per week
