Client location and schedule hours:
Client localated in the Nashville area. Schedule is M-W-F 9 am to 2 pm
Job Responsibilities:
Social History: Client is an 82yo widower of 5 yrs now, who lives alone in his home He has no pets. He has 2 children, who live nearby and share checking in on him periodically. Client is a retired carpenter, with a lot of his handiwork obvious throughout his home. Client is a calm, laid-back fellow with a severe hearing loss at only 20-30% hearing ability, so CG must speak loudly near to him to be heard. He had been completely independent for several years after his wife's passing until he contracted covid, which left him with an autoimmune disorder. He is in the process of recovering from this and getting stronger every day. Until his fall, he had been driving himself to the local store or restaurant. He enjoys sitting on his back porch (that he built) and watching the birds and deer and watching TV.
Diagnoses: Autoimmune Disorder, Profound Hearing Loss, Lower leg weakness (getting stronger), Fall Risk, Anemia
Goals & Objectives: Companion Care, and keep him safe from falling
Qualifications:
Minimum of 1 year experience as an in-home Caregiver, CNA or related experiences with a loved one of family member
Ability to effectively communicate through written and verbal language
Valid Driver's License and adequate auto insurance
Consent to criminal, elder abuse, motor vehicle and sex offender background checks
Consent to drug and alcohol testing
TB test
Compensation: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
