Typical duties you could expect in the role, but is not an exhaustive list: -Assist clients with personal hygiene, including shower/baths, and oral care -Assist with toileting and/or incontinence care -Help with transferring -Assist with walking/ambulating, including the use of walkers and wheelchairs -Give medication reminders -Errands and/or accompanying to appointments -Light housekeeping and laundry -Escorting clients to and from meals and/or activities -Meal/snack preparation and assistance with eating when appropriate -Companionship FirstLight HomeCare delivers a unique brand of high-quality and compassionate in-home care through carefully selected, screened, and trained professional caregivers, hHHA's or CNA's. Qualifications: An applicant will need to meet the following basic qualifications: -HHA Certificate or CNA License -6 months experience in companion or personal care (preferred) -The applicant must have completed FirstLight HomeCare's orientation, non-medical training program, be trained in patient privacy issues and demonstrate basic knowledge and competency in the field of senior care. -The applicant must have a sympathetic attitude toward the care of the sick and elderly. -The applicant must demonstrate maturity, professionalism and the ability to deal effectively with the demands of the job. -The applicant must be 18 years of age and a citizen of the United States. -High school diploma or GED -Ability to carry out directions, verbally communicate with clients and staff, read and write. -Maturity and ability to deal effectively with the demands of the job. -Proof of state issued driver's license and valid auto insurance -Physical requirements as stated below -Possess proven undeniable integrity -Pass drug screen -Clear background check -Clean driving record -Desire to care for our community Responsibilities: -Understands and adheres to established FirstLight HomeCare policies and procedures. -Performs personal care as assigned. -Completes appropriate visit records in a timely manner as per FirstLight HomeCare policy. -Reports changes in the client's condition and needs to the appropriate supervisor. -Performs household services essential to health care in the home as assigned. -Ambulates and exercises the client as assigned. -Performs simple procedures as trained, e.g., range of motion (ROM) exercises as assigned. -Assists with self–administered medications as assigned. -Attends in-service and continuing education programs as scheduled and necessary. -Attends client care conferences as scheduled. Working Environment: A FirstLight HomeCare Home Health Aide works both indoors in the agency office and in the field with clients and referral sources. Job Relationships: -Supervised by: Care Coordinator Lifting Requirements: Ability to perform the following tasks if necessary: -Ability to participate in physical activity. -Ability to work for extended period of time while standing and being involved in physical activity. -Heavy lifting. -Ability to do extensive bending, lifting and standing on a regular basis.

Responsibilities:
- Provide personal care assistance to clients, including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Assist with mobility and transfers, using proper techniques and equipment.
- Administer medication reminders and assist with medication management.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure and temperature.
- Assist with meal preparation, cooking, and feeding as needed.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
- Assist with light housekeeping tasks, such as tidying up and laundry.
- Accompany clients to appointments or outings as necessary.

Experience:
- Previous experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred.
- Familiarity with memory care and working with seniors is a plus.
- Knowledge of tube feeding and hospice care is beneficial.
