Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Shipfitter to join our team. As a Shipfitter, you will be responsible for assembling, fabricating, and repairing various components of ships. Your precision and attention to detail will be crucial in ensuring the structural integrity of the vessels. If you have experience in sheet metal work, assembly, and fabrication, and possess excellent hand tool skills, we encourage you to apply.
Responsibilities:
- Candidates must have 3 plus years of experience as a Shipfitter or Structural Fitter
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine shipfitter requirements
- Measure, cut, shape, and fit metal components using precision measuring instruments
- Assemble and install metal structures such as bulkheads, decks, and frames
- Fabricate parts using hand tools and power tools
- Weld or solder components together as needed
- Conduct inspections to identify any defects or damage
- Repair or replace damaged parts as necessary
Skills:
- Strong attention to detail and precision in measurements and assembly
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools
- Knowledge of sheet metal work techniques
- Ability to read blueprints, drawings, and specifications
- Familiarity with welding or soldering techniques
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
We offer competitive pay rates based on experience.
Pay is $25.00 hour to $38 hour depending on the location of the job.
Perdiem is available at some job-sites if you qualify.
