Position Purpose:

The Wire Transfer Specialist will be responsible for processing and overseeing all incoming and outgoing wire transfers (Domestic and Foreign) accurately, while ensuring compliance with regulations and providing an awesome customer experience.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Process incoming and outgoing wire transfer requests accurately and efficiently, adhering to established bank procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Verify the authenticity of wire transfer requests.
• Perform thorough reviews of wire transfer documentation, including customer information, account details, and transactional data, to identify red flags and mitigate potential risks and errors.
• Monitor wire transfer transactions for suspicious or fraudulent activities, promptly reporting any concerns to management.
• Work directly with internal and external customers to resolve any wire transfer-related issues or inquiries.
• Provide awesome customer experience by promptly addressing customer inquiries, concerns, and requests related to wire transfers.
• Review and correct all wire rejects within the AML system for wire reporting.
• Index all wire documentation and end of day reports into the document storage system for retention.
• Communicate and escalate issues as appropriate to management.
• Maintains advanced knowledge with regulations that apply to the position. Adheres to the Bank’s policies and procedures.

• Complete annual training as required.
• Participate in bank/community activities.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Strong computer skills: ability to work efficiently within multiple systems at the same time which include internal/external applications and the Microsoft Office Suite.
• Proactive; desire to identify opportunities rather than react to problems.
• Strong sense of initiative; self-motivated.

Experience and Education Requirements:

• Minimum of one (1) years’ experience with wire transfers or minimum of three (3) years in operations within a bank or financial institution.
• High School Diploma, or equivalent.

Physical Requirements:

• Typically requires sitting for extended periods of time with intermittent stooping, bending, and walking.
• May occasionally lift up to 25 pounds which may include the need for independent mobility to: bend, reach, or kneel.
• Visual and auditory skills are required.
