SUMMARY: Our Tournament Operations Coaches will be responsible for managing all aspects of tournament logistics and operations, ensuring a seamless experience for participants and spectators. Focused primarily on golf tournaments held across Northeast Florida, this role presents an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of young athletes while fostering a competitive and fair environment.
SCHEDULES AND COMPENSATION: Coach schedules are flexible to accommodate tournament dates, with hours varying based on event schedules. Compensation is competitive and commensurate with experience, covering all aspects of tournament planning, execution, and follow-up. Coaches will receive compensation for attending mandatory training sessions and tournament briefings.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Coordinate all aspects of tournament logistics, including scheduling, venue setup, and equipment management, to ensure smooth operations.
Uphold the organization's values and commitment to sportsmanship, fairness, and integrity throughout all tournament activities.
Collaborate with tournament officials, referees, and volunteers to facilitate efficient tournament proceedings and resolve any issues that may arise.
Communicate effectively with participants, coaches, parents, and stakeholders regarding tournament schedules, rules, and expectations.
Implement and enforce tournament rules and regulations, ensuring compliance and a level playing field for all competitors.
Oversee scoring and result tabulation processes, maintaining accuracy and transparency in tournament outcomes.
Foster a positive and supportive atmosphere for participants, promoting healthy competition and personal growth.
Provide mentorship and guidance to tournament participants, offering encouragement and constructive feedback.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings, to accommodate tournament schedules.
Demonstrated experience in event coordination or tournament management, preferably in the sports industry.
Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail and the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of golf tournament operations, rules, and regulations is advantageous but not mandatory; a willingness to learn and adapt is essential.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with diverse stakeholders.
Reliable transportation to attend tournament venues and mandatory training sessions.
Must meet age requirements and undergo a successful background check prior to employment.
REQUIREMENTS:
Completion of mandatory SafeSport training and Tournament Operations Training.
Ability to lift and move equipment, stand for extended periods, and work outdoors in variable weather conditions.
