First Step Learning Center is Hiring an Early Childhood Teacher Near New Haven, CT

About us

First Step Learning Center is located in the heart of New Haven, CT. We are a NAEYC Accredited Center.

We are looking for talented educators!
- Plan and implement age-appropriate curriculum
- Develop and execute lesson plans that promote physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development.
- Create a safe and nurturing environment for children.
- Use effective behavior management techniques to encourage positive behavior.
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to ensure a cohesive and enriching educational experience for all children.
- Conduct assessments and track the progress of each child's development.
- Communicate regularly with parents.
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment.

Requirements:
- CDA, Associate or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Knowledge of child development principles and best practices in early childhood education.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Experience with NAEYC.
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain it).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $21.00 per hour
