First Step House is Hiring a Live-in Group Home Manager Near Salt Lake, UT

We are looking for a Live-in Group Home Manager in Salt Lake City, Utah!!

The Group Home Manager is responsible for the daily management of resident welfare, safety, and accountability. This job entails helping not only manage the daily details of six residents, but assisting in the coordination of their care between outside mental health providers and First Step House.

There is no salary for this position, but it does come with free room and board!

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Consistently practicing and demonstrating principles of an Outward Mindset
  • Manages the regular supply and critical supply inventories.
  • Assists or conducts daily and weekly house meetings.
  • Performs property rounds to ensure the safety of clients and staff.
  • Oversees nightly bed checks to verify the presence of all residential clients.
  • Attends to clients' questions and concerns and refers treatment-related issues to clinical staff when appropriate.
  • Conducts regularly-scheduled fire drills in cooperation with the Quality Assurance Department.
  • Manages food stamp packets.
  • Manages the new client intake and orientation process.
  • Develops chore chart and assigns/oversees chore performance of all residents.
  • Ensure clients are drug tested and results are communicated to client's case manager.
  • Ensures drug & alcohol-free environment.
  • Assists clients with maintaining personal hygiene and other activities of daily living, as needed.
  • Ensures meal delivery and food donation coordination, when available, with Food Services Department
  • Assists Program Manager in conducting weekly behavior management review meetings.
  • Assists in administering contingency management as part of the Behavior Management Policy and Procedure.
  • Coordinates the client completion/transfer process.
  • Deescalates client issues as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.
