Lending Personnel
Qualified candidates will have excellent interpersonal skills, communication skills, organizational skills, sales skills, and a good work ethic. A good attitude and a pleasant personality are a must. Good mental and visual concentration is necessary for reviewing loan files and analyzing financial conditions, tolerating interruptions, and working in a stressful environment. A college degree with an emphasis in Finance and Business or equivalent experience is recommended. Knowledge of spreadsheets and word processing software programs is necessary; mental concentration and analytical skills are necessary to thoroughly review loan information. Good decision-making and listening skills are essential. Multi-tasking capabilities are a must.
Key Job Activities could include but would not be limited to:
Excellent customer service at all times.
Recognize the opportunities and make referrals for Bank and its employees to provide additional services and products to customers and prospective customers.
Prepare loan closing and documentation duties to include:
a. Preparation of all documents requiring signatures
b. Verify the Bank has correct filing on all collateral
c. Create customer files with copies of signed documents and related articles or documents
Perform post-loan closing duties to include:
a. Making entries and booking loans
b. Making loan advances and taking payments
c. Provide payoffs and releases
d. Assist in loan closings
e. Answer all customer inquiries
Other duties to include:
a. Typing correspondence
b. Updating Loan Officer’s exceptions list to include requesting insurance and tax receipts necessary to perfect liens
c. Assisting Loan Officers
d. Calling overdrawn customers
e. Complete outgoing wire forms
f. Providing Notary Services
g. Assist customers with account questions
Credit Analyst duties to include:
a. Gather and analyze current credit data and financial statements to determine the degree of risk involved in extending credit or lending money
b. Updating financial statements and comparisons
c. Analysis and preparation of loan write-ups for review
d. Updating machinery and equipment evaluations when applicable
Potential Growth to Manage a loan portfolio to include:
a. Calling on customers
b. Making loans to consumer, agricultural, and commercial customers
c. Presenting loans to Loan Committee
d. Interviewing potential customers
e. Taking loan requests from existing and potential customers
f. Evaluating and inspecting collateral
