Summary:

Operate various types of screw machines, including ACME, Davenport and Brown and Sharpe, and other assorted secondary operation machines to produce turned valve bodies and other valve components in accordance with production needs and standard operating procedures. Other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Prepare the first piece inspection in accordance with company policy.
• If required, submit first piece to quality control department for inspection.
• Obtain and load proper bar stock to machines.
• Operate machines introduction mode, when not engaged in a setup.
• Make minor and/or major adjustments to machinery to insure that production stays within established quality parameters.
• Completion of production records such as recap cards and pan tickets.
• Assist in securing proper paperwork for operators within your compliment of machines.

Education, Experience and Required Skills:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Excellent math skills
• Ability to use gages and precision measuring equipment and read and interpret blue prints.

Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk, talk and or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, sit and use hands to manipulate, handle or feel. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include: close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Pay Rate:

$13.50 per hour
