Our Client is a successful accounting, payroll, and tax firm with a long history of strong and steady growth located in Columbia, MD. They specialize in small businesses and work with client to help them be better organized, make more money and save on taxes. They are looking to bring in an Account and Client Account Manager to work directly with their clients and help walk them through the tax process and work with them to better forecast and prepare their business for growth.

Main Responsibilities:

As the Accounting and Client Manager, your main responsibility will be to provide outstanding personal service to a section of our small business clients. The Account Manager will interact with our clients on a frequent basis and the system will keep workflow running smoothly throughout the year. The Account Manager will supervise and review the work of staff accountants who prepare the monthly compilations, analyze these financial statements, and advise and consult with your clients.

Qualifications:

• 3-6 years' of experience in the accounting field
• Bachelor's degree in accounting
• EA or CPA preferred but not required. Continuing education assistance provided
• Prior experience with preparing business and personal tax returns
• General knowledge of how payroll taxes and sales taxes work
• Desire to learn and grow professionally
• Great communication skills and self-confidence
• Comfortable with local travel to client sites

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $75,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year plus commission
