The Mechanic is a key performer that shows off their skills to support the business operations. They are critical to our team’s success and the success of our awesome customers. The mechanic will be doing the PM, diagnosis, maintenance, and repair on all our equipment, vehicles, and customers’ units.

Roles and Responsibilities

· Performing routine and major repairs on a large variety of equipment. I.e.: hydraulics, diesel engines, electrical systems.

· Maintain a maximum effort to contribute to equipment uptime, departmental and company objectives.

· Get it right the first time. Properly identify required parts, components and tools needed for repairs. Keep and eye on parts shortage and inventory for repairs.

· Record and react to repeat equipment issues to minimize downtime.

· Service calls on the customers job site. May also need to help on our site or on the telephone.

· Continue to learn new equipment and keep up with industry standards.

· Perform other tasks as necessary.

Requirements

Qualifications, physical requirements, and Education Requirements

· Must have minimum 5 years’ experience working on diesel equipment, as well small engine repair knowledge.

· Lift 100 lbs. with assistance.

· Must be able to stand for long periods of time. Must be able to sit for long period as required.

· Read, write, and speak English proficiently. Bilingual a plus.

· You will be in dirt, grease, oil, fuel, other fluids, solids, and gases associated with equipment and the construction industry.

· High school degree or equivalent

· Clean driving record.

· Need your own tools/ toolbox. Shop has specialty tools and various others on site.

· Some overtime and weekends as necessary.

· Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Preferred Skills/other

· Equipment rental experience

· Basic welding experience/certification

· CDL or capable of obtaining CDL
