First Lutheran Preschool is Hiring an Early Childhood Educator Near Monrovia, CA

First Lutheran Preschool of Monrovia is currently seeking a part time Lead Early Childhood Educator!

We are a small non-profit faith-based preschool in the beautiful city of Monrovia. We offer quality childcare and education for children ages 2-6. We provide a balance of play-based and academic learning, and a Christ centered curriculum that builds character and Christian values.

We are looking for a loving, nurturing, friendly, reliable, and flexible teacher to join our team! Someone who is a go getter and possess leadership qualities!

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

- Plan and implement age and developmentally appropriate activities

- Prepare and provide a variety of materials and resources for children to explore, manipulate, and use both in learning activities and imaginative play

- Encourage children’s development in the areas of building self-confidence, problem solving, and taking responsibility for their actions

- Maintain regular observation and evaluation of the children’s development

- Ensure the health and safety of each child

- Provide positive interactions, guidance, and reinforcement to the children

- Maintain good communication with the parents

- Plan, prepare, and hold Parent-Teacher conferences

- Attend meetings and collaborate with the rest of the team

Candidates MUST have completed 12 ECE units and at least 1 year experience working with children ages 2-6 years.

We provide a supportive and fun environment for all our staff! Mentorship, training, much needed prep time, and winter break are but a few of the perks in joining our team.
