The salary range for this position is $73,000 -$88,500 (min - midpoint). New hires typically start between the range minimum and midpoint based on qualifications, experience, and internal equity.

Who You Are
You are an experienced Financial Analyst, located in the New England area and open to a hybrid work model (~ 1 day / week in Manchester, NH FIRST office), who enjoys analyzing financial data, preparing reports, and providing insights to support strategic decision making. With Gracious Professionalism® our ideal candidate will work closely with departments to ensure accurate financial reporting, assist in budgeting and forecasting activities, and provide project teams with financial guidance that aides in business decisions.
FIRST headquarters is in Manchester, New Hampshire, and we seek candidates based in New England or willing to relocate to New England. Although this role will have the flexibility to work remote, we are looking for candidates who can easily and frequently travel by car to our headquarters as needed.

What You Will Do
With a keen eye for detail, you will conduct financial analysis, including variance analysis, trend analysis, and forecasting to support decision making processes. Additionally, you will: 

  • Prepare and present financial reports and insights to senior management, highlighting key performance indicators and areas for improvement
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather relevant financial data and ensure reporting accuracy
  • Assist in annual budget development and quarterly forecasts, providing recommendations for cost-saving opportunities and revenue enhancement
  • Monitor and analyze financial performance against budget and provide improvement recommendations
  • Evaluate and assess financial data for trends, anomalies, and potential risks or opportunities
  • Participate in financial modeling and scenario analysis to support strategic planning initiatives
  • Support month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting
  • Support ad-hoc tasks and various business projects using tools to improve processes and increase productivity

What We Expect
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. We are also seeking candidates with the following knowledge, skills, and experience:

  • BS / BA in related discipline and at least 5 years of directly related experience
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency
  • Financial software and ERP system experience (NetSuite Planning & Budgeting Module and Tableau knowledge a plus)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 including SharePoint and Teams
  • Flexibility to travel 5 - 10%
