First Hawaiian Bank is currently seeking a Steward to join our team in our Food Services Department in Downtown, Honolulu. In this role, the Steward will perform all aspects of the dishwashing area, including running and maintaining the dishwashing machine and ensuring compliance with strict sanitation rules and regulations.

In this role, you will:

1.) Be Responsible for all aspects of the dishwashing machine and the dishwashing area.

2.) Maintain the work station in a clean and orderly condition and exercise strict safety, sanitation and housekeeping habits at all times. Sweep and mop kitchen and walk-in refrigerator floors, as well as the freezer floor.

3.) Assist with food preparation, including preparing vegetables for daily soup. Prepare muffin mix and scoop out daily according to business needs.

Work Hours:

Monday - Friday 6:30AM - 3:00PM (hours may vary)

Compensation:

The hourly salary range for this role is $16.00 - $19.00/hr; commensurate with experience. 

The ideal candidate will have:

• High school diploma or equivalent is required
• Food service facility experience preferred
• 6 months experience in dishwashing, with working knowledge of commercial dishwashers is required
• Knowledge of front and back of house operation 
• Basic knife skills
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Good organizational skills
