First Cumberland Learning Center is currently accepting resumes for toddler and pre k teachers. Teachers are responsible for planning and teaching developmentally appropriate activities that will promote growth and development.

Responsibilities:

• Appropriately supervise children while keeping them safe at all times.
• Create a fun and safe learning environment - singing, dancing, and playing with children.
• Keep classroom clean, organized, and free of clutter.
• Develop schedules and routines that help children with activities of daily life (restroom use, hand washing, etc).
• Establish and maintain positive, caring relationships with students and parents.
• Communicate with parents on a daily basis about their child's progress via the brightwheel app.
• Maintain the health and safety of all students.
• Prepare weekly lesson plans that engage the children and follow developmentally appropriate practices.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in childcare, teaching, or other related fields preferred
• Ability to lift at least 40 pounds, crouch to children's eye-level, and be physically active for most of the day
• Passionate about working with children especially toddlers
• Ability to build a relationship with children and their families
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Possess a strong work ethic, be flexible, and be dependable

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $11.00 - $14.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 per week
