First Coast Veterinary Specialists in Jacksonville Beach, FL is a small animal surgical center specializing in soft tissue, neurology, orthopedic surgery, and emergency care. We are looking for a full-time experienced Veterinary Technician to join our team. At First Coast Veterinary Specialists, you will work side by side with some of the top surgeons and technicians in their field. Required skills and knowledge:

• Surgical preparation
• Intubation
• Catheter placement
• Anesthesia monitoring
• Radiology
• Post-op care and monitoring of patients
• Excellent communication skills and time management
• Ability to problem solve, learn and handle multiple tasks
• Ability to anticipate and be detail oriented due to high level of patient care
• Must be an enthusiastic team player with a patient and positive professional attitude
• Applicants with 2 years’ experience as a veterinary technician are preferred. Surgical experience is a plus.

The hours of this position are four 10-hour shifts Monday-Friday, No major holidays
