Job Requisition: Occupational Therapist, Part time

Location: First Children School, Plainfield NJ

Position Summary:

Occupational Therapists (OTs) at our school lead the development, implementation, and coordination of the Occupational Therapy Program. They provide screening, intervention, and planning for students with disabilities affecting daily life activities. OTs collaborate with school personnel, conduct assessments, maintain records, and adhere to ethical standards.

Reporting To: Principal

Major Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with school personnel and attend relevant meetings.
• Schedule interventions using various models and coordinate with other school services.
• Maintain records, submit reports, and adhere to rules, regulations, and ethical standards.
• Administer assessments, analyze data, and present findings to the IEP team.
• Provide information to stakeholders and supervise support personnel.
• Demonstrate knowledge of the curriculum and collaborate with teachers.
• Plan evidence-based interventions, manage resources, and promote effective relations with students.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy.
• Department of Education certification and active New Jersey license.
• Proficient in English with interpersonal skills.
• Professional attitude, vision/hearing senses, and physical mobility.
• Experience in educational settings preferred.
