First Chicago Insurance Company (FCIC) is Hiring an Administrative Support - Dispatcher Near Bedford, IL

We are seeking an Administrative Support Dispatcher!

The Administrative Support - Dispatcher will Serve as the liaison between outside staff (both company and independents) and the inside adjuster. Responsible for coordinating appraisal assignment requests made by the adjusters, assuring their completion, and return the completed repair order to the adjuster.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure communication between the DRP facilities, field appraisers, independent appraisers, and the inside adjusters. Function as first line of defense in noticing potential communication issues.
  • Ensure estimate request forms have the basic information to direct estimate activity.
  • Handle general inquiry calls from Direct Repair Shops, staff appraisers, and independent appraisers.
  • Coordinate necessary tracking of information as determined is necessary by Field Operations Management.
  • File original approved appraisals along with photos.
  • Maintain computer functions between the automated claim system and the appraisers' automated estimating system.
  • Payment of Independent Appraiser invoices.
  • Running CCC system which allows for transfer of information between the appraisers and the adjusters.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Minimum assignment workload to be completed during the workday is minimum of 50 assignments per day. This will be tracked at the end of each day.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Required:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • PC skills including spreadsheet maintenance.
  • Excellent organizational and communication (verbal, written, phone) skills.
  • Good organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Good typing/data entry skills (min. 30 wpm)

The company was founded on December 14, 1920 as the Chicago Ice Producers Mutual Liability Company. Originally organized as a mutual insurance company, its initial purpose was to insure the members of the Chicago District Ice Association for general liability, Workers Compensation, public liability for horses and wagons, and commercial vehicle insurance. Association members donated the $26,225 that was needed at that time to start insurance operations. The company was granted licenses to operate in the States of Illinois, Indiana and Wisconsin, which continue to be held today. In 2006, the company was converted from a mutual form of governance to a stock company. It was renamed First Chicago Insurance Company, and became a subsidiary of J & P Holdings, Inc. Innovation is the companys focus as the 100th anniversary of its founding approaches.
