First Call Temporary Services is Hiring a Quality Assurance Technician Near White, TN
Hours: 10pm to 6:30am (Mon-Fri)
Pay: $18/hour
Location: White House, TN
Accommodations: Climate-controlled warehouse
Job Description & Responsibilities
- Able to understand & use measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers, gauging, etc.
- Perform detailed visual & dimensional inspection of supplier materials and production parts.
- Document QA inspection at receiving, in-process, and testing activities to assure conformance to specifications & procedural requirements.
- Audit various manufacturing processes to assure compliance and product segregation.
- Maintain and update inspection logs and records as necessary.
- Initiates non-conformance reports (NCRs) and follow-ups to final disposition of nonconforming materials.
- Responsible for complying with the department's existing policies, procedures, methods & techniques.
- Assist manager and/or department staff by providing light clerical support, such as filing, photocopying, and data entry
- Additional duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 1 year of quality experience in manufacturing
- Must be detail oriented
- Ability to reason and analyze to pinpoint defects
- Ability to read and interpret dimensional drawings
- Ability to comprehend written instructions
- Must be able to work effectively in a team environment
- Knowledge of basic math through the algebra level required
- An understanding of and the ability to read and use basic measuring tools & instruments
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively
