POSITION SUMMARY
The Digital Media Manager is responsible for leading planning, publishing, and updating content and features on our church website, social media platforms, and all digital media. The successful candidate must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills along with strategic thinking. The Digital Media Manager will report to the Director of Communications.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Collaborates with the Communications Director to design and implement First Baptist Atlantas digital engagement strategies.
  • Posts content on the fba.org site and social media platforms and seeks ways to enhance audience experiences.
  • Maintains familiarity with digital communication strategies and technologies, social media platforms and marketing, content management systems, WordPress, and similar systems.
  • Collaborates with FBA staff to establish best practices and web tools for communicating with ministry specific audiences.
  • Establishes rigid protocols for quality control through proofreading, editing, and sampling.
  • Oversees, tracks, analyzes, and reports on the performance of the website and social media platforms.
  • Using web audience and social media mapping and analysis tools, strategically develops and maintains links with target individuals and organizations.
  • Compiles and sends FBA email updates; analyzes FBAs contact lists to better understand target audiences.
  • Monitors live chat audience during FBA livestream services.
  • Monitors all social media platforms, removing spam/negative comments as needed and interacting with the online community.
  • Develops strategies for meeting the needs of the online community.
  • Maintains familiarity with trends and developments in the fields of specialization pertinent to the purpose and functions Marketing and Digital Strategies.
  • Explores and pursues professional associations and networks among other churches and corporations for collaborative enrichment.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Candidate must have a growing, mature, and demonstrated personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
  • Must align with the beliefs, values, and mission of FBA.
  • A current church member of FBA or enrolled in First Class and/or be willing to become a member of FBA within the first three months of employment.
  • High level of professionalism, interpersonal skills, and integrity to handle sensitive and confidential information.
  • Excellent public speaking, written, verbal, and presentation skills essential.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are fundamental.
  • History of developing and executing plans and working well under pressure with good judgment.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment by setting priorities, managing time, and meeting deadlines.
  • Ability to prioritize, track and follow through on multiple, competitive priorities.
  • Ability to be flexible and shift priorities to meet ministry needs.
  • Ability to research and analyze various types of data information.
  • Effective cause and effect, problem-solving, and resolution skills.
  • Highly collaborative with extraordinary social and relationship-building skills.
  • Demonstrated ability of continuous improvement.
  • Bachelors degree in marketing, communications, or related study
  • Minimum 5 years experience in marketing and social media strategies
  • Robust copywriting and editing skills.
  • Extensive knowledge of social and digital platforms, Google analytics, and search engine optimization.
  • Experience in website content management.
MINISTERIAL FUNCTIONARY:
Employees of the Church are called to spread the Word of God; you are also charged with conveying the Churchs message and values to all its constituents and thus carrying out its mission. Because of this paramount charge, you are required to pray with Church staff, members, volunteers, and guests whenever appropriate to contribute substantively to the Churchs ministry, conveying its understanding of the Word of God to all those who seek it. The overarching purpose and mission of the Church is to spread the Churchs understanding of the Word of God embodied by the Holy Scripture.
