What You Will Be Doing

First Bank's summer internship program provides students a chance to gain real world experience in a dynamic and supportive environment. Internships are offered as an opportunity to learn all facets of each business unit in a banking operation and is designed to provide our interns with meaningful and relevant work. Interns are encouraged to apply their talents to actual business projects and work with a team of dedicated professionals. In addition to work experiences, interns will get to hear from key leaders of the organization and learn about the many facets of banking; they will develop strong networks with other interns and business professionals.

First Bank interns are involved in company initiatives and interact with executive leadership.

We will help you develop your skills in your chosen field, provide you with a mentor, and put you to work with real, meaningful responsibilities. You will be given the opportunity to apply your coursework, skills, and previous experience to one of the best banks in the Midwest. We want you to help us make decisions that ultimately make a difference in the lives of our customers.

Our internships are offered every summer and will be a rotation in the following departments at First Bank:

• Finance
• Commercial Lending
• Credit
• Risk
• Retail Operations

The summer internship session will begin June 3, 2024 and lasts 10 weeks. Internships will be paid, full time opportunities and will have a Monday through Friday work schedule.

• Pursuing a degree in Business (Finance, Accounting, Economics)
• Strong skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; including presentation skills
• Attention to detail with strong organizational skills
• **Must be eligible to work in the US without sponsorship

This compensation range is for the Intern job. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for any applicable differentials (geographic, bilingual, or shift) that could be associated with the position or where it is filled. A reasonable estimate of the current base pay is $20.00 per hour.
