Participates in the design, development, deployment, testing, debugging, and maintenance of cloud security solutions. Works with technical staff to understand problems and develops solutions to resolve them. Participates in the development of training and documentation.

This role is preferred to be hybrid 2 days per week onsite in Santa Ana, CA.

How You'll Contribute

  • Lead complex technical architecture discussions and design solutions designed to drive innovation and improve information security posture in the cloud and other platforms.
  • Lead cloud security evaluations and assessments for any proposed technology solution.
  • Regularly interacts with senior management and peers in other departments for purposes of gaining cooperation, exchanging technical information, and presenting project plans and reports.
  • Build a trusted advisory relationship with strategic customers across the business and engage with architects and senior management to identify customer priorities, technical objections, and design strategies encompassing the entire ecosystem to deliver business value and improve security posture.
  • Perform market research on best-of-breed technologies and lead the engineering team to develop successful proof-of concepts to test and learn new capabilities.
  • Lead discussions with business partners to clearly understand opportunities and identify innovative ways to improve information security posture.
  • Work with customers, stakeholders, product managers, and product owners to understand and maintain a high-level understanding of the current and upcoming requirements.
  • Define and split large architectural objectives into smaller incremental objectives.
  • Present the technological vision of the solution during planning, provide domain models and exemplary use cases that describe larger system behavior, and participate actively in interactively during the planning process.
  • Provide leadership by instructing, mentoring, and training team members within and outside the work group.
  • Work with other architects to establish common roadmaps in support of upcoming user and business needs.
  • Interact with and influence senior management on technical matters requiring coordination between organizations.
  • Provides technical consulting on complex projects.
  • Champion change; drive and set technical direction affecting multiple groups/business units.
  • Required to perform duties outside of normal work hours based on business needs.

What You'll Bring

Required Education, Experience, Certification/Licensure

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Typically have 15 years of directly related experience.
  • Certifications: CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Certified Professional), SSCP (Systems Security Certified Practitioner), CISA (Certified Information Systems Auditor), CISM (Certified Information Security Management), CCNA, CCNP, MSCE preferred.
  • Experience working with distributed team.
  • Deep understanding of and experience with cloud security concepts including technology, best practices, design, deployment, and operations.
  • Understanding network security implementations, including their function and placement in a network.
  • Deep understanding of and experience with public cloud security in a hybrid cloud environment.
  • Successful track record of designing, developing, and managing the execution of projects in the cloud and/or security space.
  • Ability to develop and implement processes to ensure compliance and quality.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships within and between departments.
  • Deals with others in an honest manner, assures adherence to company policies, addresses questionable business practices.
  • Provides others with reliable information, creates, and delivers accurate reports and presentations. Uses good listening skills. Negotiates effectively.
  • Ability to convey technical and conceptual ideas/topics to non-technical personnel.
  • Presentation skills
  • Strong organizational or Project Management skills

Pay Range: $116,820- $194,700

This hiring range is a reasonable estimate of the base pay range for this position at the time of posting. Pay is based on a number of factors which may include job-related knowledge, skills, experience, business requirements and geographic location.
