Disassembly Technician

Fulltime: 8:00 am – 5:00 pm, Mon – Fri

Pay rate: $15.00 - $25.00 per hour based on experience.

Location: 111 Bluegrass Dr. Norwalk, OH 44857

Summary:

As a Body Shop Disassembly Technician, you will disassemble vehicles efficiently and methodically to prepare them for collision repair. You will play a critical role in ensuring that vehicles are properly and safely dismantled to facilitate accurate and effective repairs.

What you will do:

• Review work orders, understanding the scope of disassembly required for each vehicle and repair.
• Efficiently, carefully remove all necessary panels, to expose damaged areas.
• Ensure all parts and components are properly labeled, organized, and securely stored for reassembly.
• Conduct visual inspection to identify any additional damage or hidden issues to be reported to the repair team.
• Maintain a clean, well-organized workspace, ensuring all tools and equipment are in good working condition.
• Adherer to all safety procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
• Assist in other duties as required.

What you will need:  

• Tools
• Prior experience as a Disassembly Technician in a body shop or collision repair is preferred.
• Working knowledge of automotive systems and parts.
• Detail-oriented with excellent hand-eye coordination and mechanical skills.
• Able to work efficiently and independently as well as part of a team.
• Physical dexterity to perform tasks that may require bending, reaching, stretching, and lifting.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Good communication skills
• Positive attitude
• Have a clean driving record.

We are five dealerships servicing the Sandusky, Vermilion, and Norwalk area.
