FireKeepers Casino Battle Creek is Hiring a Dual Rate Floor Supervisor Poker Near Battle Creek, MI

4 - 10 hour shifts

SCOPE OF POSITION:

When designated, the primary position of Supervisor will be assigned at management’s discretion. While in a supervisory position, incumbent is responsible for assisting in the implementation of all operations in the Poker Room while ensuring that Team Member performance, on a given shift, is in compliance with the company’s policies and procedures, objectives, goals and gaming regulations.

The secondary position requires dealing the games played in the Poker Room and performing the duties of a dealer. Must be proficient in 7 Card Stud, Texas Hold’em; limit and no limit, Omaha and Pot Limit Omaha. Must be able to provide guest service and execute cash and chips transactions in accordance with the company’s policies and procedures and Gaming Regulations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The following is a list of the main duties and responsibilities. However, other duties may be assigned as deemed necessary by management. All duties must be performed in accordance with Tribal, Federal, and other applicable requirements, organizational specific policies, procedures and practices.

  • Promotes positive relations on a continual basis by calling for servers, chip runners, while maintaining clean area.
  • In the absence of the Poker Shift Manager, assumes all responsibilities of the Poker Room.
  • Ensures a maximum level of guest service and satisfaction is achieved and maintained throughout the Poker Room.
  • Approves the opening and closing of games. Manages labor levels holding overtime and calling in additional help as needed, due to volume of business and guest needs.
  • Promotes and administers multi-table tournaments and daily promotions. Updates and maintains department records and generates daily reports.
  • Maintains security of all areas; makes on-the-scene operating decisions as needed; resolves problems and situations as they arise in the room.
  • Ensures compliance with Gaming regulations, the company’s policies and procedures, gaming procedures and guest service standards; enforces adherence to all Tribal, federal, and state regulations.
  • Greets and welcomes guests to the Poker Room, establishing rapport with personalized service.
  • Monitors any suspicious or unusual activities
  • Ensures all inventory supplies are maintained, and monitors the security of distributing cards, etc. in accordance with gaming regulations.
  • Maintains the highest level of confidentiality.
  • Responsible for maintaining a consistent, regular attendance record as outlined in the FireKeepers Casino Hotel Attendance Policy.
  • Must present a professional and well-groomed appearance. Maintains departmental records and logs and communicates effectively with counterparts to ensure consistency of the daily operation of the Poker Room on a shift to shift basis.
  • Deals the Poker games in accordance with company policies and procedures; greets new guests providing information about the game; answers any questions and provides instructions to the guests as needed.
  • Outstanding example of and a credit to FireKeepers Casino Hotel.
Minimum Requirements

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

An applicant’s education, training and experience must be sufficient to demonstrate that the applicant possesses the ability to successfully perform each of the essential duties and responsibilities satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are generally representative of the education, experience, and skills and/or abilities required to enable one to successfully perform the essential duties and responsibilities:

High School diploma or GED. Proven knowledge, training and/or experience on the assigned game. Basic knowledge of all current house procedures. Strong organizational and interpersonal skills. Must be at least 18 years of age.

GENERAL OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

No general or preferred qualifications.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instruction, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports

and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimal, and work with mathematical such as probability and statistical inference.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Work is performed throughout all areas of the facility where the noise level varies from quiet to loud depending upon business. Must be able to work in a smoke filled environment.
