Fire and Safety Technicians, LLC is Hiring a Fire Sprinkler- Lead Testing and Inspection Technician Near Las Vegas, NV

Fire Sprinkler - Lead Testing & Inspections Technician

All applicants must be or have:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • A valid driver's license and a driving record that meets company requirements
  • Current State of Nevada G-Card & J-Card
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in supervisory position
  • Minimum of 6 years' experience in fire sprinkler systems with experience in the following:
  • Working with other trades in conflict resolution
  • Performing Test, Inspection, and Service requests on Fire Sprinkler systems ranging from basic wet systems to more advanced dry and pre-action systems.
  • Documenting results of all inspections and services performed with photos, video, and written notes.
  • Creation of repair estimates from field notes of inspections and testing reports
  • Communicating with customer before and after all inspections or services and report results.
  • Ensuring timely job completion
  • Making minor/major repairs to sprinkler systems
  • Quality record of assisting in estimating manhours for repair estimates
  • Reading and interpreting blueprints and specifications to determine job requirements
  • Marking plans for As-Built's

Additional Requirements:

  • Enjoys working with others in a training capacity
  • A self-starter attitude that can work with little or no supervision
  • Strong organizational skills, positive attitude, and the ability to adapt and learn quickly.
  • Capable of performing physical labor.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Able to perform all duties in a safe and professional manner.
  • A strong sense of completing a job quickly, correctly, and keep all work looking clean and neat.
  • Able to carry/move equipment and tools weighing up to 70 lbs.
  • Able to perform work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions such as climbing ladders, scaffolding, and high lift equipment.
  • The ability to use hand and power tools safely.
  • Able to work in teams or independently without a foreman to complete commercial installations and all testing/maintenance work.
  • Able to work overtime if required with short notice.
  • Able to work alternative shifts or weekends from time to time to meet customer and/or job requirements.
  • Personal Hand Tools
  • Familiarity with NFPA 25, & 17A, All Local and State Fire Prevention Codes, and local building codes

Preferred Candidate will have:

  • Current State of Nevada F-Card
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in fire alarm systems with experience in the following:
  • Performing Test, Inspection, and Service requests on Fire Alarm systems ranging from basic zoned Fire Alarm panels to more advanced addressable networked systems.
  • Installation and programming of FACP’s
  • Documenting results of all inspections and services performed with photos, video, and written notes.
  • Ensuring timely job completion
  • Making minor/major repairs to fire alarm systems
  • Familiarity with NFPA 72

Compensation:

  • $26-35/hr. depending on experience
