The Parts Driver is responsible for delivering and/or relocating heavy equipment parts and construction materials to and from vendor and/or shop to job sites.

TOTAL COMPENSATION

$21.44 to $37.79 per hour

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform daily pre and post equipment inspections of delivery truck and perform basic preventive maintenance, such as adding fluids or air to tires, as needed.
• Responsible for loading and unloading heavy equipment parts or construction materials with the use of forklift, knuckle boom, overhead crane or by hand depending on the task.
• Safely drive to different locations and operate multiple loading equipment such as jib crane, forklift, knuckle boom, overhead crane, and pallet jack to load or unload from the truck.
• Drive a large flatbed or a pickup with a trailer to the different vendors or job site locations delivering equipment, maintenance parts, or materials.
• Perform effective and efficient daily pick-up and delivery route planning and prioritization of tasks.
• Complete, track, organize, and maintain equipment and material paperwork.
• Understand purchase orders and different vendor processes.
• Assist shop with parts inventory tracking.
• Checking primary email on a regular basis for any communication from the company, as this is the company’s primary mode of communication.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

• Excellent driving record with the patience to drive most of the day under heavy traffic and a high familiarity with the Denver area and traffic patterns.
• Highly effective communicator with the ability to interact positively and professionally with vendors, customers, coworkers, and leadership.
• Ability to safely load and transport heavy parts and equipment, often up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to drive manual transmission vehicles and trucks
• Willingness and ability to comply with all internal or external (vendors) safety rules and policies
• Ability to work overtime, weekends, and occasional night shift if required
• Team player with a positive attitude and the desire to learn new tasks
• Dependability, reliability, honesty, and trainability
• Ability to multitask and follow instructions
• Ability to pass pre- and post-employment drug screening and work history verification
• Good customer service and communication skills
• Ability to clearly identify, resolve, and communicate work tasks and issues
• 18 years or older with a valid Colorado Driver License
• HS Diploma or GED
• Consistent access to a reliable personal email account.

Preferred:

• Experience in similar line of work with 1 to 2 years of experience operating forklift and other loading equipment

LANGUAGE SKILLS

This position requires the ability to communicate in English with co-workers, customers and the general public.

MATH SKILLS

This job requires the ability to understand and execute basic math equations.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Must sit for extended periods of time driving to multiple locations. Able to walk, load and unload, work on uneven surfaces, climb flatbeds or ladders, and push, pull, and lift items up to 50lbs. Able to use hands to hold, grasp, push, and pull. Able to bend, walk, stand, sit for extended time. Able to use hand tools.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Driving between various vendor locations, Fiore & Sons shop, and different project locations. Exposed to weather conditions, in-shop atmosphere with loud noises, fumes, enclosed driver seats, etc. Working on or around heavy / moving machinery.
