Reporting to the Director of Accounting Operations, the Data Analyst will drive insights, generate actionable reports, and streamline data reconciliation needs for the firm for multiple clients.
Responsibilities
● Querying, transforming, and extracting data from our systems in support of various business
functions including audit, finance, operations, and trading
● Identify and implement ways to automate reporting and reconciliation
● Build scripts to automate the creation of business reports
● Become fluent in disparate systems used by our client base
● Data clean up and ensuring accuracy in data
● Write systems and process documentation including desktop procedures
● Reconciliations inclusive of both crypto currency reconciling as well as cash/bank
reconciliations
● Other responsibilities and projects as needed
Qualifications
● Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field
● 2 years’ experience of financial data, reporting, and accounting
● Should have good experience in Data Mining, Data Analysis and Predictive Modeling using R
● High-level proficiency with SQL-based query languages and relational data concepts
● Proficiency with data visualization tools such as Looker and Tableau
● Excellent analytical skills
● The candidate should not only be able to analyze the data, but also generate actionable
recommendations with understanding of business objectives
● Eager and willing to learn in a fast-paced environment
● Detailed-oriented with the ability to prioritize
● Strong written and verbal communication
● Ability to roll up their sleeves and do anything and everything to get the job done
● Someone who can work autonomously while also in partnership with cross domain teams
