SUMMARY:

Under direct supervision, performs a variety of routine shipping and receiving tasks. Compares identifying information or outgoing shipments with purchase orders, invoices, or other documents.

• Maintains records of daily receiving and shipping, also up to date bulletins of shipping criteria and changes.
• Prepares shipments for postal or commercial conveyance.
• Selects appropriate shipping container and packs items to ensure safe delivery.
• Checks items to be shipped against work orders to ascertain that quantities, destination, and routing are correct.
• Receives and unloads incoming materials and compares information on packing slip with purchase order to verify accuracy of shipment; may process return shipments from customers.
• Inspects shipments for damages or defects; records discrepancies or damages and notifies supervisor and or purchasing personnel.
• Maintain inventory accuracy.
• Pull inventory for job kits.
• Other duties as assigned.
• KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

Must have the ability to sort, check, count, and verify numbers. Ability to prepare routine administrative paperwork. Ability to receive, track, and distribute materials, supplies, and equipment. Ability to lift and manipulate heavy objects. Candidate should be able to read and follow work instructions, procedures, and know the electronics color code. Ability to perform simple arithmetic. Must be able to perform effectively under pressure and take direction from supervisor. Must be competent and pay close attention to details. Ability to maintain quality and safety standards.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
