As a Data Business Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in establishing and maintaining robust data governance frameworks to govern the collection, storage and usage of data across Finlays. You will collaborate closely with stakeholders from various departments to develop and implement data governance policies, standards, and procedures. Your expertise in data governance principles, practices and frameworks will be instrumental in ensuring the accuracy, completeness and reliability of our data assets.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the development and implementation of a comprehensive data governance framework aligned with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
• Help define/monitor data governance policies, standards, and procedures to establish clear guidelines for data management, access control, and usage.
• Establish data quality standards and metrics to measure and monitor the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of data.
• Conduct data quality assessments and audits to identify issues and root causes, and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Ensure compliance with relevant data privacy regulations and industry standards.
• Work with Group Head of Data to define data lifecycle management processes to govern the acquisition, retention and disposal of data assets.
• Provide guidance and support to stakeholders on data governance-related issues and initiatives.
• Experience with Product Information Management (PIM) systems and ownership.
• Understanding of data ownership concepts and experience in defining data stewardship roles and responsibilities, including:
• Establishing ownership for specific data domains and work with key stakeholders to define site/business/group data attributes.
• Help support and implement MDM processes and workflows within Finlays.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience (2 years) in data governance, data management, or related roles.
• Deep understanding of data governance principles, practices, and frameworks.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
• Experience with data governance tools and technologies is a plus.

Tools and Technologies:

• Experience with cloud ERP systems such as Dynamics 365 or similar platforms.
• Familiarity with CRM systems like Salesforce or equivalent.
• Proficiency/knowledge in Power BI, or similar data analytics and visualization tools.
• Preferred exposure to data integration platforms such as Cinchy, Informatica, etc.
