- POSITION SUMMARY:
- Under the supervision of a Physical Therapist, the Physical Therapy Assistant works with patients to relieve pain, improve the body's movement and function, and limit disabilities resulting from injury or disease. He/She collaborates with members of the interdisciplinary team to provide comprehensive patient care.

- EDUCATION:
- Minimum:
- Two-year associate degree from an accredited physical therapy assistant program.

- LICENSE:
- Minimum:
- Current or eligible to practice as a physical therapy assistant in New York State.

- PROFESSIONAL CERTIFICATIONS:
- Minimum:
- BLS required through the RQI system during clinical orientation.

- WORK EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum:
- New grads accepted

- Preferred:
- One to two years experience.

- SKILLS:
- Minimum:
- Must be able to travel to multiple locations on any given day as requested.
- Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion and ability to deal with the people in a professional and courteous manner.
